Project NAS 2026

It has been a while since I posted, but for the 2026 year I would like to go through building a NAS. I have already started but I do have some secondary parts for a 2nd system to display.

There is going to be three main parts,

• There will be the server, I will show both a Rocky Linux file server and a TrueNAS server.
• The next will be the JBOD, and how it is built.
• Finally there will be the controller

Going to shoot for a weekly post.

Other things I am going to cover

• Monitoring
• Backups
• Remote Access
• UPS

This will hopefully grow over time.
